How our articles are written
Who writes and who answers for it
Every article is written and signed by Hugo Debrabandere, founder of Occura. There is no separate editor: the person whose name is on the article is the person accountable for it. His background and the full list of his articles are on his author page.
What we write about
LinkedIn prospecting and B2B outbound, the work Occura does every day. We pick a subject when people are asking a question the existing answers get wrong or cannot source, and when we have something to add from running the channel ourselves.
Where the figures come from
- Occura's own numbers come from our campaigns and are labelled as ours.
- Market figures are attributed to the study or company that published them, with the limits of the source when it has some.
- LinkedIn's rulesare quoted from LinkedIn's own help pages and user agreement. When LinkedIn has not documented something, the article says so rather than repeat a number that circulates without a source.
Dates and updates
Each article shows the date it was published. LinkedIn changes its limits regularly, so a date is part of the answer. We change a date only when the content of the article has changed, never to make a page look recent.
Commercial interest
Occura sells LinkedIn outbound as a service, and some pages compare us with other providers. Those pages say who we are, link to the sources behind each claim about a competitor, and are written to be checked. When a channel is not part of what we sell, the article says that too.
